How to apply for SSL business verification

Business verification adds a “Verified business” mark to the public page of your SSL certificate. It tells visitors that HostiGuard has checked the identity documents of the company behind the website.

Who can apply

Verification is by invitation. When you ask our team, or when we contact you, we send you a private link to the verification form. The form is not listed anywhere on the site and the link is personal, so do not share it.

You must have an SSL certificate bought through HostiGuard. Only your own eligible certificates appear in the form.

Before you start

• Your first and last name, phone number, country and city.
• Your ID number and its expiry date, plus a photo or PDF of your ID and of your passport (JPG, PNG, WEBP or PDF, up to 8 MB each).
• Your company name and commercial registration number.
• Optional: a copy of the commercial registration and of your tax certificate.

Step by step

1. Open the private link and sign in to your HostiGuard account.
2. Certificate — choose the SSL certificate you want to verify, then the verification type.
3. Identity — enter your personal details.
4. Documents — attach your ID and passport and choose the issuing country of each.
5. Company — enter the company name and registration number and attach the optional documents.
6. Terms — read and accept the verification terms.
7. Display — choose whether to show your company name on the certificate page (monthly or yearly) or continue without it.

Your request is reviewed within 72 business hours. You can follow the status in Dashboard → SSL Certificates → Manage → HostiGuard reference & verification.

After approval

Your certificate page shows “Verified business”. If you chose the company-name display you receive a Verification order invoice; once it is paid, your company name and registration number appear on the page. If you did not choose it, you can add it later with the Show features button on your SSL page.

The company name is hidden automatically when the paid period ends, and the page shows the certificate as expired if it is not renewed.

Prices

Verification and company-name display prices change from time to time. The price shown in the form or on your invoice when you order is the one that applies to that period.
