Team spaces: working together in one cloud storage

On plans with more than one user you can invite people to work in your cloud storage. Each person signs in with their own HostiGuard account — nobody needs your password. Open Dashboard → Cloud Storage → Open files and press Team.

Roles

• Owner — the customer who pays for the space: everything, including billing.
• Admin — all files and folders; manages the team and sharing. Only the owner can add, change or remove admins.
• Member — only the folders you pick, with the rights you choose (upload, edit, delete).
• Viewer — only the folders you pick: view and download, nothing else.

Invite someone

1. Enter their e-mail address and choose a role.
2. For a member or a viewer, tick the folders they can open (create the folders in the file manager first). For a member, also choose what they can do in those folders.
3. Press Send invitation. They receive an e-mail and join when they sign in to HostiGuard with that same address. If they have no account yet, they create one with that address.

The number of users of your plan includes you. When every seat is used, remove someone or upgrade the plan.

Managing the team

• Change access edits a person's role, folders or rights.
• Remove takes their access away at once. The files they added stay in the space.
• Send again resends an invitation that was not accepted yet.
• Team activity shows who uploaded, changed or deleted what.

If you were invited

The spaces you joined appear under Team spaces on your Cloud Storage page, and also in HostiGuard Drive on the web and on Windows. You only see the folders shared with you. To leave, open the space and press Leave team.
