Abuse & Copyright Complaints

How to report spam, phishing, malware, network abuse or copyright infringement involving a HOSTI GUARD LLC service — and what happens next.

event Last Updated: October 13, 2026

HOSTI GUARD LLC does not allow its services to be used for illegal or harmful activity. This page explains how anyone — a person, a company, a rights holder or an authority — can report abuse involving an IP address, domain, website, server, proxy or e-mail account provided by HOSTI GUARD LLC.

All abuse and copyright reports are handled by our support team at support@hostiguard.com. Reports sent to any other address may be delayed.

1. What you can report

You can report any use of our services that breaks the law or our Acceptable Use Policy (hostiguard.com/acceptable-use), including:

  • Spam — unsolicited bulk or commercial e-mail sent from, or advertising, a service we host.
  • Phishing and fraud — fake login pages, fake shops, impersonation and scams.
  • Malware — viruses, ransomware, botnets, command-and-control servers and malicious downloads.
  • Network abuse — DDoS attacks, port scanning, brute-force attempts and exploitation attempts coming from our IP addresses, including our proxy and VPS addresses.
  • Copyright and trademark infringement — content published without the rights holder's permission.
  • Child sexual abuse material — removed immediately and reported to the competent authorities.

2. How to send a report

Send your report by e-mail to support@hostiguard.com with the subject Abuse report or Copyright complaint. Please include:

  • the IP address, domain or full URL concerned;
  • the type of abuse, with the date, time and time zone of each event;
  • evidence: full e-mail headers for spam, log extracts for network abuse, screenshots or URLs for content;
  • your name and the e-mail address where we can reach you.

One report per incident helps us act faster. Reports that do not identify a service hosted by HOSTI GUARD LLC cannot be acted on.

HOSTI GUARD LLC is registered in the United States and handles copyright notices in line with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512). A valid notice must contain:

  • your physical or electronic signature as the rights holder or a person authorised to act for them;
  • identification of the copyrighted work (or trademark) you say is infringed;
  • the exact URL(s) of the material you want removed;
  • your name, postal address, telephone number and e-mail address;
  • a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the rights holder, its agent or the law;
  • a statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorised to act for the rights holder.

4. What we do with a report

  • We aim to acknowledge every report within 24 hours and to act on it within 2 business days.
  • We check that the report concerns a service we provide and that the evidence supports it.
  • We forward the report to our customer and give a deadline — usually 24 to 48 hours — to remove the content or stop the activity.
  • Serious cases — phishing, malware, attacks in progress, child abuse material or a risk to our network — are suspended immediately, without waiting for the customer.
  • If the problem is not solved by the deadline, the service is suspended and may be terminated.

We do not share our customer's personal data with the person who made the report unless the law requires it.

5. Counter-notices

If your content was removed after a copyright notice and you believe this was a mistake, you can send a counter-notice to support@hostiguard.com containing: your signature; the material removed and where it appeared; a statement under penalty of perjury that it was removed by mistake or misidentification; your name, address and telephone number; and your consent to the jurisdiction of the competent court.

We forward the counter-notice to the complainant and may restore the material after 10 to 14 business days unless they tell us they have started legal action.

6. Repeat infringers

Accounts that receive repeated, justified abuse or copyright complaints are terminated. No refund is due for services terminated for abuse.

7. False or abusive reports

Knowingly sending a false report may make you liable for damages, including under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f). We may ignore automated or bulk reports that do not contain the evidence described above.

Law-enforcement agencies and courts can send requests and legal orders to support@hostiguard.com. We preserve the relevant data when asked and answer valid legal process. Where a life is in danger, say so in the subject line and we will treat the request as urgent.
