What Grok can and cannot do
Grok can see
- Your account summary, wallet balance and the total amount due
- Your invoices and payment status
- Your services, plans and expiry dates
- Your cloud storage usage
- Your domains and DNS records
- Your support tickets and notifications
- Your e-mail accounts and their space (never the messages)
With “Manage”, Grok can also
- Open and reply to support tickets, change DNS records, nameservers, auto-renew and transfer lock, create renewal invoices.
With “Drive files”
- See the names, folders and share links of your Drive files and search them; with “Manage” also create folders, move items to the Trash and back, and create or turn off share links. The contents of your files are never sent.
Grok can never
- Pay, order or accept any terms for you
- Change your password, e-mail or two-step verification
- Read, send or delete your e-mails
- Delete your account or cancel services
- See your passwords, keys or card details

Questions and answers
Is it really free?
Yes. The HostiGuard Connector is free for Grok users and has no subscription. You only need your HostiGuard account and your own Grok account.
Who can use it?
Every HostiGuard customer, with his own account. Staff accounts, team members and accounts on hold cannot connect.
Does Grok see my password or my card?
No. You sign in on hostiguard.com, not in Grok. Grok gets a key that works only for the access you approved, and never sees passwords, keys, card details or two-step codes.
Can Grok pay, order or delete things?
Grok cannot pay, order, accept terms, cancel services or delete your account. With “Manage” it can change DNS records, nameservers, auto-renew and the transfer lock, open and reply to tickets and create renewal invoices; with “Drive files” it can also move Drive items to the Trash, from where they can be restored.
Can Grok read my e-mails or my files?
No. For e-mail it sees only your addresses, their space and the settings. For HostiGuard Drive it sees file names, folders and share links — never the contents of your files.
Can HostiGuard switch the connector off?
Yes. HostiGuard may limit, suspend or switch off the connector for any account, or for everyone, at any time and without giving a reason. Your other HostiGuard services keep working.
Is this connector made by xAI?
No. It is made and run by HOSTI GUARD LLC. Grok is a product of xAI; HostiGuard is not affiliated with xAI.
Does the same connector work in Claude?
Yes. The same HostiGuard Connector also works in Claude — see the page for Claude. HostiGuard Connector for Claude
