Terms of Service

The agreement that governs every HostiGuard account and service.

event Last Updated: October 24, 2026

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are a legal agreement between you (the "Customer", "you") and HOSTI GUARD LLC ("HOSTI GUARD LLC", "we", "us"). They apply to the website hostiguard.com and to every product and service we sell or provide, including domain name registration and transfer, shared, WordPress, business and cloud hosting, VPS and dedicated servers, SSL certificates, e-mail, security products, marketplace products and any related add-on (together, the "Services"). "Services" also includes cloud storage (HostiGuard Drive), including the web interface at drive.hostiguard.com and the HostiGuard Drive desktop applications.

By creating an account, placing an order, or using any part of the Services you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms, to our Refund Policy and to our Privacy Policy, which are incorporated here by reference. If you do not agree, you must not use the Services.

1. Overview and changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our Services, in the law, or in the requirements of our upstream providers, registries and registrars. The current version is always published at hostiguard.com/terms together with its "last updated" date. Material changes will be announced on our website or by e-mail to the address on your account.

Your continued use of the Services after a change takes effect means that you accept the updated Terms. If you do not accept a change, your only remedy is to stop using the Services and close your account; no refund is due for the remaining term of any Service.

2. Eligibility

You may use the Services only if you are at least 18 years old (or the age of legal majority where you live) and are able to enter into a binding contract. If you order on behalf of a company or another person, you confirm that you are authorised to bind them to these Terms.

We may refuse, cancel or restrict any order or account at our discretion, including where the information provided is inaccurate, where payment cannot be verified, or where we believe the Services would be used in breach of these Terms.

3. Your account

To order Services you must create an account and provide complete, accurate and current information (including a valid e-mail address that you check regularly). You must keep this information up to date at all times; we rely on it for billing, renewal notices, security alerts and legal notices.

  • You are responsible for keeping your password, API keys and other credentials confidential, and for every action taken through your account, whether or not you authorised it.
  • You must notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
  • You may not sell, transfer or share your account without our prior written consent. Sub-users you create act under your responsibility.
  • We may suspend an account whose contact details are false or unreachable, as required by ICANN and registry rules for domain holders.

4. Orders, fees and billing

All prices are shown in the currency selected at checkout and exclude any taxes, duties or bank charges, which are your responsibility unless stated otherwise. The price you pay is the price displayed at the moment the order is placed; we may change our prices at any time for future orders and renewals.

Every Service is sold for a fixed billing period (for example monthly or yearly). Payment is due in advance, in full, before the Service is activated or renewed. A Service is not activated, transferred or renewed until we have received cleared funds.

  • Automatic renewal. Unless you disable auto-renewal in your client area before the renewal date, Services renew automatically for the same period at the then-current price, and the payment method on file is charged.
  • Late payment. If a renewal invoice remains unpaid after its due date the Service may be suspended, and after the grace period it may be terminated and its data permanently deleted. Domain names that are not renewed on time may expire, enter a redemption period with additional fees, or be released for registration by anyone.
  • Promotions. Promotional prices apply to the first billing period only unless stated otherwise, and renew at the regular price.
  • Billing errors. You must report any billing dispute to us within 30 days of the invoice date. Disputes raised later are deemed accepted.
  • Chargebacks. Please contact our support team before contacting your bank: almost every dispute is a misunderstanding we can settle quickly. If a chargeback or payment reversal is opened on a delivered Service without a refund request having been made to us first, the payment for that Service is no longer settled. We may then suspend or terminate every Service on the account immediately and without further notice, we will contest the dispute with the full record of the order, and the disputed amount together with the fees our payment provider charges us remains payable before any Service is restored. We may also decline future orders from the same person or business. Nothing in this clause limits a right you hold under the rules of your card scheme or under a law that applies to you.

5. Refunds and cancellation

Our full Refund Policy is published at hostiguard.com/refund-policy and forms part of these Terms. In summary:

  • shared, WordPress, business and cloud hosting plans carry a 14-day money-back period on a first purchase;
  • VPS and dedicated servers carry a 48-hour money-back period on a first purchase, while the server has not been set up or used;
  • domain registrations, renewals, transfers and restorations are never refundable, because the fee is paid immediately to the registry and cannot be recovered;
  • SSL, e-mail, CDN, SiteLock, proxies, SMS, add-ons and marketplace products are not refundable once issued or activated;
  • renewals, set-up fees and administrative fees are not refundable, and account credit is not returned to the original card but stays on your account.

No refund is given where a Service is suspended or terminated for a breach of these Terms or of the Acceptable Use Policy at hostiguard.com/acceptable-use, or where the order is fraudulent. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method.

You may cancel any Service at any time from your client area. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not by itself refund a period already paid for unless a money-back period above applies.

6. Domain name services

HOSTI GUARD LLC acts as a reseller of domain name registration services. Each registration is also subject to the registration agreement, policies and dispute resolution procedures of the sponsoring registrar and the relevant registry, and to the policies of ICANN (including the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy), which you accept when you register a domain through us.

  • We do not guarantee that a domain name you search for is available, or that a registration or transfer will succeed; availability is confirmed only when the registry accepts the request.
  • You are solely responsible for choosing a domain name and for ensuring that it does not infringe the rights of any third party.
  • You must provide accurate WHOIS/registrant contact information and update it within 7 days of any change. Inaccurate information may lead to suspension or cancellation of the domain.
  • Transfers in and out are subject to the 60-day locks, authorisation codes and verification steps required by the registry. We are not liable for delays caused by the current registrar, the registry or the registrant's failure to approve a transfer.
  • Expiry, redemption and deletion follow the timelines of the registry. We may, but are not obliged to, send renewal reminders. Restoring an expired domain, where possible, incurs the registry's redemption fee.
  • Free WHOIS privacy, where offered, is a courtesy service that may be withdrawn for extensions that do not permit it or where disclosure is required by law.

7. Hosting, servers and e-mail

Hosting plans, VPS and dedicated servers are provided with the resources (storage, bandwidth, CPU, memory, mailboxes, databases, etc.) described on the order page. Plans described as "unlimited" or "unmetered" remain subject to fair use: they are intended for normal website and e-mail operation and may not be used for storage, backup, file-sharing, streaming, mining or any activity that degrades the performance of the shared platform. This restriction applies to web hosting plans only. It does not apply to Cloud Storage (HostiGuard Drive) plans, which are designed for file storage, backup and sharing within the storage limit of the plan.

  • You are responsible for the content of your website and e-mail, for keeping your applications, plugins and scripts up to date and secure, and for keeping your own independent backups. Any backups we make are for disaster recovery and are provided as a courtesy without guarantee.
  • Shared and cloud hosting is managed by us; VPS and dedicated servers are provided as unmanaged infrastructure unless a management add-on is purchased. On unmanaged servers you are responsible for the operating system, software, security and firewall configuration.
  • We may move your account between servers or data centres, change IP addresses, and perform scheduled maintenance with reasonable notice where possible.
  • Free migrations, SSL certificates, domains or other bonuses included in a plan are provided while that plan remains active and paid.
  • Outbound e-mail is subject to hourly and daily sending limits. Bulk or unsolicited mail is prohibited (see Acceptable Use).
  • Server plans are sold for a minimum term. The only money-back period available on a server is the 48 hours set out in section 5 above and in the Refund Policy, which applies on a first purchase and only while the server has not been set up or used. Once a server has been provisioned and put to use it cannot be downgraded or cancelled with a refund, except where the Refund Policy allows it for a confirmed fault that we are unable to resolve.

8. SSL certificates and security products

SSL certificates are issued by third-party Certificate Authorities and are subject to their subscriber agreements. Issuance requires that you complete the validation steps (domain control, organisation or extended validation) requested by the Certificate Authority; we cannot issue a certificate until validation succeeds and we are not responsible for delays caused by incomplete or incorrect validation information.

Security products such as CDN, malware scanning and website firewalls reduce risk but cannot guarantee that an attack or infection will be prevented. No security product is a substitute for keeping your own software updated and for maintaining backups.

Information About SSL Certificate Validity: Under the CA/Browser Forum Baseline Requirements (Ballot SC-081), the maximum validity of public SSL/TLS certificates is 200 days from March 15, 2026, and it will be reduced to 100 days in 2027 and to 47 days in 2029. Paid certificates issued by HostiGuard renew automatically — you do not need to do anything. Free certificates do not renew automatically — reissue them before they expire. If the certificate is installed outside HostiGuard (on your own server), you can generate a new CSR yourself and reissue the certificate before it expires.

9. Marketplace and third-party products

Some products offered on hostiguard.com (for example licences, applications or services listed in the Marketplace) are supplied by third parties. When you order them you may also have to accept the supplier's own terms. We resell those products as they are provided to us and, except where the law requires otherwise, we give no warranty in respect of them beyond passing on the supplier's warranty where permitted.

10. Acceptable use

Your use of the Services is governed by our Acceptable Use Policy, published at hostiguard.com/acceptable-use, which forms part of these Terms. It sets out in detail what may not be hosted, sent or run on our network, and what we do when those rules are broken.

Proxy, VPS and IP-based services. Proxies and server IPs may be used only for lawful purposes such as testing, monitoring, market research and privacy protection. You must not use them for spam, credential stuffing, scraping that breaches a third party's terms, fraud, attacks, evading sanctions or law-enforcement, or any activity that would be illegal in the United States or in your country. We verify customer identity where required, keep abuse logs, answer abuse reports and suspend the service immediately on breach.

In short, you must not use the Services to publish illegal or infringing content, to host phishing pages or malware, to send unsolicited bulk e-mail, to attack or scan other systems, to mine cryptocurrency or run proxies on shared plans, or in any way that could expose HOSTI GUARD LLC to legal action or cause our IP ranges to be blacklisted.

You are responsible for everything that happens on your Service, including the conduct of your own customers and of anyone you give access to. We may investigate any suspected breach, remove or block content, suspend or terminate the Service, and cooperate with law enforcement and rights holders. Abuse reports must be sent to [email protected] or through the Report abuse form at hostiguard.com/report-abuse.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate any Service or your entire account, with or without notice, if: a payment is overdue; you breach these Terms or any incorporated policy; your use threatens the stability or security of our network; we receive a valid legal order or a complaint that we reasonably believe to be justified; or our upstream provider, registrar or registry requires us to do so.

You may cancel a Service at any time from your client area. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refund or credit is issued for the unused time unless one of the money-back periods in section 5 above applies, and any outstanding invoices remain payable.

On termination we may delete all data, files, e-mails and backups associated with the Service. It is your responsibility to export your data before the Service ends. Domain names remain registered until their expiry date and can be transferred away subject to registry rules, provided the account is in good standing. For Cloud Storage (HostiGuard Drive), files are kept for 7 days after the subscription ends so you can download them, as set out in section 21.

12. Intellectual property

The HOSTI GUARD LLC name, logo, website, software, documentation and control panels are our property or that of our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use them only as needed to use the Services. You retain all rights in the content you upload, and you grant us the limited licence required to host, cache, back up and transmit it in order to provide the Services.

13. Service availability and support

We aim to keep the Services available around the clock, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Downtime may occur because of maintenance, hardware failure, network events, attacks, upstream provider outages, or circumstances beyond our control. Any uptime commitment published on a product page is a service objective; the only remedy for a confirmed failure of our own infrastructure is described in the Refund Policy.

Technical support is provided through the ticket system in your client area and covers our platform and the Services we provide. It does not cover the development, debugging or administration of your own website, applications or scripts, or of software on unmanaged servers.

14. Disclaimer of warranties

Except as expressly stated in these Terms, the Services are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, and any warranty that the Services will meet your requirements, be secure, or that data will not be lost. Advice or information obtained from us, orally or in writing, does not create any warranty not expressly stated here.

15. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HOSTI GUARD LLC, its owners, employees, suppliers and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill, data or content, or for the cost of substitute services, arising from or related to the Services or these Terms, however caused and under any theory of liability, even if we were advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising in any twelve-month period is limited to the amount you actually paid us for the specific Service giving rise to the claim during that period. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

16. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless HOSTI GUARD LLC and its owners, employees, suppliers and partners from any claim, demand, loss, liability, cost or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Services, the content you host or transmit, your breach of these Terms or of any law, or your infringement of any third-party right — including any domain name dispute concerning a domain registered through us.

17. Third-party services and links

The Services rely on third parties such as registrars, registries, Certificate Authorities, data-centre operators, payment processors and software vendors. We are not responsible for their acts, omissions, outages or policy changes. Links on our website to third-party sites are provided for convenience; we do not endorse and are not responsible for their content or practices.

18. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the country in which HOSTI GUARD LLC is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before starting any legal action you agree to first contact us at [email protected] and to attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days. Any dispute that cannot be resolved in this way is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the place where HOSTI GUARD LLC is established, and you waive any objection to that venue. Domain name disputes with third parties are handled under the applicable ICANN or registry dispute policy.

19. General provisions

  • Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Refund Policy, the Privacy Policy, any product-specific terms and your order, form the entire agreement between you and us and replace any earlier agreement.
  • Severability. If any provision is found unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions remain in full force.
  • No waiver. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
  • Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign them to a successor or affiliate.
  • Force majeure. We are not liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, labour disputes, government action, power or internet failures, or failures of upstream providers.
  • Notices. We may send notices to the e-mail address on your account; they are deemed received when sent. You may send notices to us at [email protected] or to 8206 LOUISIANA BLVD NE.
  • Language. These Terms may be published in several languages for convenience. In case of any inconsistency the English version prevails.

20. Referral programme

Members of the HostiGuard referral programme earn a commission on qualifying purchases made by the clients they refer, at the rate shown in their dashboard.

A commission becomes eligible for payout and withdrawal only 15 days after the date of the referred purchase. A refund, chargeback or cancellation of that purchase within this period cancels the commission.

Commissions are paid to the member's account as withdrawable earnings and withdrawn by bank transfer only. Self-referrals, fake accounts and any abuse of the programme void the commissions concerned and may end the membership.

21. Cloud Storage and HostiGuard Drive

Your content.

  • You are responsible for the files you store or share with HostiGuard Drive and for having the right to store and share them.
  • You keep all rights in your files. You give HostiGuard only the permission needed to store, sync, transmit and display them to provide the service.

Prohibited content. You must not use HostiGuard Drive to store or share:

  • content that is illegal or that infringes copyright, trademarks or other rights;
  • malware, phishing pages or files meant to harm devices or people;
  • child sexual abuse material, or sexual content shared without consent;
  • content that promotes violence, terrorism or hate against people or groups;
  • personal data of others that you have no right to share.

Reporting and removal.

  • Anyone can report a shared file or link through the Report abuse form (hostiguard.com/report-abuse) or by e-mail to [email protected].
  • We review reports and may remove content, disable shared links, suspend the service or close the account when content breaks these Terms, and we may report illegal content to the authorities.

Storage limits and backups.

  • Each plan has a storage limit. When it is reached, new files will not sync until you free space or upgrade.
  • HostiGuard Drive keeps deleted files and earlier versions for limited periods (see the Privacy Policy at hostiguard.com/privacy). It is not a guarantee against all data loss; keep your own copies of important files.

End of service.

  • When a Cloud Storage subscription ends, your files are kept for 7 days so you can download them. After that you can no longer access them, and they are permanently deleted.

22. HostiGuard desktop applications

  • HostiGuard grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the HostiGuard Drive desktop application to access your HostiGuard services.
  • You must not copy, modify, sell, reverse engineer or decompile the application, except where the law allows it.
  • We may release updates. Older versions may stop working with the service, and the application may ask you to update before it continues to sync.
  • If we decide to discontinue a desktop application, we will give reasonable advance notice.
  • When you install the application from the Microsoft Store, Microsoft is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for the application or its support.

23. HostiGuard Connector for Claude and other AI apps

The HostiGuard Connector lets you link your account to an AI assistant such as Claude by Anthropic (an "AI app"), so that the AI app can read your account information and, if you allow it, make changes for you. How it works is explained at hostiguard.com/claude-connector.

  • You decide what the AI app may do when you connect it (view only, manage, HostiGuard Drive files). Every action the AI app takes through the connector is made on your instructions and on your behalf, and is treated exactly as if you had done it yourself in the client area. You are responsible for checking what you ask the AI app to do and for the results.
  • An AI app can misunderstand a request or give wrong answers. Check important information and review changes (for example DNS records, nameservers, the Drive Trash or share links) before you approve them. HOSTI GUARD LLC is not responsible for any loss or damage caused by an instruction given through an AI app or by a mistake of the AI app.
  • The connector cannot pay, place orders, accept terms, cancel Services, delete your account or change your password, e-mail address or two-step verification, and it never reads, sends or deletes your e-mails.
  • The AI app is a third-party service provided under its own terms and privacy policy. HOSTI GUARD LLC does not control it and is not responsible for it, for its availability or for what it does with the information it receives.
  • The connector is currently provided free of charge. HOSTI GUARD LLC may introduce usage limits or a paid subscription; any such change will be announced in advance at hostiguard.com/claude-connector and will not apply to use made before the change.
  • We may limit, suspend or switch off the connector, or end any connection, for any account or for everyone, at any time and without giving a reason, including to protect your account, our Services or other customers. This does not affect your other Services.
  • You can disconnect an AI app at any time in your client area under Connected apps.
